Thursday, July 11th

Meet and greet at Madrid Train Station Estación Madrid - Puerta de Atocha and eat sandwiches from Rafa’s favorite classic sandwich dives. After arriving in Santiago we’ll spend some time in the market and grab lunch from one of our favorite spots. We’ll head to our house in Vigo for an amazing welcome dinner featuring producers you’ll visit on the trip.

Friday, July 12th

Head to Rías Baixas for a coastal winery visit where we will get a crash course on the albariño grape and explore the region’s light-bodied, ethereal reds. We’ll have lunch in one of our favorite coastal seafood restaurants and after taking a little rest at the house, we’ll head to a late dinner.

Saturday, July 13th

After coffee and a relaxed morning, we head to lunch for an asado at one of our favorite terraces, followed by a relaxing beach afternoon where you can chill on the sand or walk around town and peep the local bars and shops. We’ll then head back to the house for a nearby dinner.

Sunday, July 14th

Head to Bueu to catch the ferry to Ons Island, where we take a short hike down to an amazing beach and set up for a picnic and beach day. Then we head back to our house for a rest and later hit an insane steak house with famous Gallego beef—because everyone eats meat on Sunday. Be prepared to be stuffed with Rubia Gallega—arguably the best beef in the world.

Monday, July 15th

We pack up in late morning and head inland to Ourense. After checkin in to our house for a reset and a rest, we head to Ribeira Sacra to show you some of the most amazing, steep, terraced vineyards in the world overlooking the Sil River. We then head back to Ourense where we spend the early evening in Termales Ourense—a Japanese-style hot springs built around the Río Miño’s natural hot springs. After a relax in the multiple pools we head to downtown Ourense to hit the bars for tapas and wine.

Tuesday, July 16th

We head to the Miño for a visit with Anónimas, two women who are leading the charge for women winemakers in Galicia. We then head for a dip in the Miño and lay on the grass with some Estrella Galicias and some bottles provided by the women at Anónimas. Old man bar included (should you want to grab a gintonic or vermouth). We then head back to our house and prep for a relaxing dinner at home.

Wednesday, July 17th

In the morning we head to Ribeiro for a private winery and vineyard tour, take down a light lunch and hop on an exclusive catamaran ride down the Miño river. You’ll hop out and swim under a waterfall and take a dip in the Miño’s healing waters. We’ll then stop for snacks, more swimming should you feel led, and bottles of Fazenda Prádio wine before heading back to the house. We' will stop at a wine bar on the river with the most amazing views in the region with plenty of time for photo ops.

Thursday, July 18th

We head to Fazenda Prádio on the Miño river for a walk through the vineyards and a trip through the bodega. Xabi, an innovative, hard-working winemaker and farmer will give us the lowdown on his plans, hopes, and dreams for winemaking in Galicia. Xabi will make us the most amazing Pulpo a la Gallega of your life and feed you tomatoes from his garden. Life changing to say the least.

Friday, July 19th

We wake up, enjoy coffee and say goodbye! We are happy to offer recs if you are staying in the area or moving on! Then there will be a train ride back to Madrid that day if you want to take it. Let us know in advance and we can book for you if you’d like.
